As CEO & Founder of ZenStrategies by E.A. Loxley, no two workdays are ever the same! My day-to-day can consist of new client acquisition, high-level tax planning & strategy, project management & process decisions, company goal-setting, HR and more! My favorite part of my job is helping business owners realize their goals. Clients often ask “Why didn’t anyone ever tell me that?” and to be honest, they probably didn’t know! At ZenStrategies, we stay on top of the latest regulations, laws, and ongoing education to provide the best possible experience for clients.
When I’m not in the office? I love to garden! And of course, anytime I am surrounded by my family it’s a happy day!
As an Accounting Manager, I work very closely with our business clients. On a typical day, you can find me preparing business tax returns or assisting with a client’s QuickBooks account. I get the most satisfaction out of solving complex accounting issues and answering client questions. The most common question I get is “How do I record this in QuickBooks??”… and luckily I can help! Anytime I can make a client’s day easier, I’m happy.
Outside of ZenStrategies by E.A. Loxley, I serve as the Director of Education for the Open Compliance & Ethics Group, which is a nonprofit think tank that educates governance, risk, and compliance professionals in all areas of GRC principles and issues. In my spare time, I soak up every spare minute I can get with my family!
After years of experience as a CPA and former Financial Controller, I know a thing or two about taxes! On paper, my role involves preparing and reviewing personal income taxes. However, in reality, I spend a lot of time getting to know clients and helping them understand tax nuances and financial principles that can help improve their financial situation. Nurturing that relationship with clients is the best part of my role!
When I’m not at work? I love getting out in nature! On the weekends, you’ll likely find me doing an outdoor activity such as walking, hiking, or working in my yard. I also love listening to fiction audiobooks and exercising! Doing something active is when I’m happiest!
At ZenStrategies by E.A. Loxley, my day-to-day work consists of figuring out how to automate work process tasks, and eliminate duplicate data entries by interconnecting client systems. Anything I can do to make our business and clients’ businesses run smoother, I will do it. Solving the puzzle is half the fun! After 15 years of operations management and 20 years of global Fortune 500 IT Experience, I enjoy bringing my expertise to small businesses.
In my spare time, I enjoy mentoring kids through Lacrosse coaching, and spending time with those I love.
My role involves turning data into reports and dashboards to help drive better business decisions. These dashboards allow people to dive deeper into a particular metric and analyze how a business is doing through data. My favorite part? I often expose different areas of clients’ businesses that they did not see before!
In life, I’m passionate about everything I do! In my spare time, I especially love to travel. Anytime I can spend quality time with my wife and son, and explore new places, I am happy!
As Relationship Manager, I wear many hats! From making sure the office inventory is stocked to managing personal tax collection, no two days in the office are ever the same. Which is part of the reason I love it! My favorite part is supporting the team and witnessing their growth. Seeing projects come to life and the positive impact we make together is incredibly fulfilling. It’s the dynamic nature of my role that keeps me engaged and motivated every day.
